This essay is kind of the second part of an essay on taste that can be read here:
I haven’t had a favourite contemporary traditional painter until a few weeks ago, when the local newspaper did a piece of him. Who’s “him”? His name’s Edward B. Gordon, a painter stationed here in Berlin, who does daily 5x5 inch paintings of everyday scenes. Really lovely pieces. They are auctioned at his blog: http://edwardbgordon.blogspot.de/. And I just came across the video above and thought why not share it as well.
Well, I hope you will find his work interesting. I would love to buy one of his daily paintings at some point. But before that I’ll make sure to get his artbook once it hits the shelves.
Draw a stickman - You won't be disappointed.

This is exactly the thing to do.
This beauty arrived yesterday. It’s quite large and filled with lots of drawing instructions to learn from. I can’t wait to dive in :D
No matter what piece of E.S.Posthumus I’m listening to, it always fuels my creativity. It’s awesome music for drawing. This piece has a lot of drive and power, but there are also softer pieces. It’s always a good mix of power and softness.
